The Asian Preparedness Partnership (APP) will convene its 9th Regional Steering Committee Meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka, co-hosted by the Sri Lanka Preparedness Partnership (SLPP) Co-Chairs, assisted by APP Secretariat at ADPC. Bringing together approximately 35 representatives from national disaster management offices, local civil society and humanitarian networks, private sector partners, and development stakeholders, the meeting aims to strengthen collaboration and governance across APP’s National Preparedness Partnerships (NPPs).
Objectives of the 9th APPRSC meeting
- Highlight initiatives that strengthen and consolidate the NPPs by focusing on those effective in actual disaster response.
- Present the planned interventions for the NPP’s selected thematic areas under the ADRF funded locally-led initiatives, emphasizing the benefits to the community and showcasing innovative approaches.
This year’s gathering will highlight effective and actual locally led disaster preparedness and response practices, showcase planned interventions by the NPPS under the Asian Disaster Readiness Fund, and foster South-South learning.
පසුගිය වර්ෂයේ පෙබරවාරි මස මොරාගල දිස්ත්රික්කයේ අවස්ථා කීපයක දී භූචලන වාර්තා විය. ඉන් පළමු වැන්න පෙබරවාරි මස 10 වන දින බුත්තලපැලවත්ත සීනි කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව ආසන්න ප්රදේශය වාර්තා වු අතර භූවිද්යා සමීක්ෂණ සහ පතල් කාර්යාංශ දත්ත අනුව එය රික්ටර් මාපක 3.0ක අගයක් වාර්තා විය. දෙවන භූ කම්පනය රික්ටර් මාපක 3.5 ක අගයක් වාර්තා වු අතර පෙබරවාරි 11 වන දින වැල්ලවාය නගර ආසන්නයේ රික්ටර් මාපක 2.3ක් අගයකින් තෙවන භු කම්පනය වාර්තා විය. ඉන් අනතුරුව අවස්ථා කීපයක දී රට තුළ භූචලන සිදුවීම් කිහිපයක් වාර්තා විය. වර්මානයේ දී මියන්මාර්හි ඇති වූ භූකම්පනයත් සමග නැවත ලොව පුරා භූමිකම්පා අවදානම පිළිබදව අවධානය යොමු වී ඇත.
මේ නිසා ආපදා කළමනාකරණ මධ්යස්ථානයේ අධ්යක්ෂ ජනරාල්තුමාගේ උපදෙස් මත මොනරාගල දිස්ත්රික්කයේ ජනතාව භූ චලනයක් සිදුවන අවස්ථාවක කටයුතු කළ යුතු ආකාරය පිළිබඳව මහජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීම හා අත්පත්රිකා බෙදැහැරීම වැඩසටහන් මාලාවක් ක්රියාත්මක කරන ලදී.
භූමිකම්පා ආපදා පුර්ව අනතුරු ඇඟවීමකින් තොරව සිදු වන බැවින් ජීවිත සහ දේපළ බේරා ගැනීම සදහා සූදානම් වීමට ඇත්තේ ඉතා සීමිත කාල පරාශයකි. ආපදාව කුමක් වුවත් ආපදාවකට පෙර, අතරතුර සහ පසුව කළ යුතු හෝ නොකළ යුතු දෑ පිළිබඳ මනා අවබෝධයක් තිබීම මෙවැනි ආපදාවලින් සිදු විය හැකි හානි අවම කර ගැනීමට මහෝපකාරී වේ.
ක්ෂණිකය ක්රියාත්මකවී ජීවිත සුරක්ෂිත කරගැනීම සදහා සෑම නිවසකම සහ කාර්යාලයකම ක්රියාකාරී ප්රථමාධාර, පැහැදිලිව සලකුණු කළ ඉවත් කිරීමේ සැලසුම් සහ හදිසි ඇමතුම් දුරකථන අංක තිබිය යුතු අතර හදිසි අවස්ථාවක දී කටයුතු කිරීමට මනා දැනුමක් තිබිය යුතු බැවින් එය ඔබගේ දැනුවත් වීම සදහා මේ සමග නැවත පලකර ඇත.
