Under the guidance of the Director General of Disaster Management Center (DMC), Major General (Rtd) Sudantha Ranasighe RWP, RSP, USP, MSc, ndc, psc Disaster Management center in collaboration with the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC) has partnered with DMC through the Programme for Enhancement of Emergency Response (PEER). As the initial step of introducing PEER in Sri Lanka, the regional PEER curricula under the subject headings of CADRE, CSSR, MFR and HOPE have been reviewed for consistency with the country context, authentication and update the information by selected sector experts. Further, proposed revisions and updates were reviewed by experienced regional subject matter experts and included their expert recommendations during the mid-term review meeting.
Today (29.10.2021) the final draft of the curricula was presented and discussed at main auditorium of the Ministry of Disaster Management with the relevant authorities for onward implementation nationwide. This event was held as a hybrid event.
දිවයින ආසන්නයේ වර්ධනය වී ඇති අඩු පීඩන පද්ධතියේ බලපෑම හේතුවෙන් දිවයිනේ බොහෝ ප්රදේශවල වැසි තත්ත්වයේ වැඩිවීමක් අපේක්ෂා කරන බව කාලගුණවිද්යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නිවේදනය කර ඇත. මෙම පද්ධතියේ බලපෑම හේතුවෙන් දිවයිනේ බොහෝ ප්රදේශවල සවස් කාලයේ දී හෝ රාත්රී කාලයේ වැසි හෝ ගිගුරුම් සහිත වැසි ඇතිවිය හැකි බවත් බොහෝ ප්රදේශවලට මිලිමීටර් 100 ඉක්මවු තද වැසි ද ඇති විය හැකි බව එම නිවේදන යේ සදහන් වේ.
Under the capacity development of Disaster Risk Management of Sri Lanka, Disaster Management Center scheduled four (4) International Search and Advisory Group (INSARAG) Basic Search & Rescue Training Courses for Search And Rescue (SAR) teams of Tri Forces, Police, Special Task Force (STF), Fire Service Department of Sri Lanka.
ආපදා අවදානම් අවම කිරීමේ ගෝලීය සංස්කෘතියක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම වෙනුවෙන් එක්සත් ජාතීන්ගේ මහා මංඩලය විසින් සෑම වර්ෂයකම ඔක්තෝබර් 13 වන දින ආපදා අවදානම් අවම කිරීම සඳහා වූ ජාත්යන්න්තර දිනය ලෙස නම් කර ඇත. සාමුහිකත්වය තුළින් පමණක් අපට ලෝකය සුරක්ෂිත කරගත හැකියි යන තේමාව යටතේ ලොව පුරා සෑම රටක් ම මෙවර ආපදා අවදානම් අවම කිරීම සදහා වු ජාත්යන්තර දින සමරනු ලැබේ.
“කොවිඩ්-19 සහ ව්යවස්ථිත අවදානම” යන තේමාව මුල් කරගනිමින් ආපදා අවදානම් අවම කිරීම සදහා වු ජාත්යන්තර දින සැමරුම් ජාතික වැඩසටහන වාරිමාර්ග අමාත්ය සහ ජාතික ආරක්ෂක, ස්වදේශ කටයුතු සහ ආපදා කළමනාකරණ රාජ්ය අමාත්ය ගරු චමල් රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමාගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් සහ ආරක්ෂක අමාත්යාංශයේ සහ ජාතික ආරක්ෂක හා ආපදා කළමනාකරණ රාජ්ය අමාත්යාංශයේ ලේකම් විශ්රාමික ජනරාල් කමල් ගුණරත්න, ආපදා කළමනාකරණ මධ්යස්ථානයේ අධ්යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල් විශ්රාමික මේජර් ජෙනරාල් සුදන්ත රණසිංහ මහත්වරුන්ගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් ආපදා අවදානම අවම කිරීම සඳහා කටයුතු කරන ජාත්යන්තර, ජාතික සහ ප්රාදේශීය මට්ටමේ සියළුම පාර්ශ්වකරුවන්ගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් අද (13) දින කොළඹ බන්ඩාරනායක ජාත්යන්තර සම්මන්ත්රණ ශාලාවේ දී පැවැත්විණි.
The second INSARAG ToT programme of forty (40) officials was conducted from 13th to 17th September 2021 at the Centre for Disaster Response Training of Sri Lanka Army (CDRT-SLA), Gampola to accredit the INSARAG standards for Tri Forces, Police, STF & Fire Service Department of Sri Lanka.
