Disaster Management Centre to the Fore in Facilitating Public Private Partnership (PPP) in COVID-19 Response
In response to the 3rd Wave of the COVID -19 pandemic, HSBC Sri Lanka donated Rs. 8 Million worth of medical equipment including ventilators and oxygen machines to the health sector. The initiative was facilitated under the leadership of the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) and A-PAD Sri Lanka.
The medical essentials were handed over to Hon. Dr. (Mrs.) Sudarshani Fernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control by Mr.Mark Prothero, CEO of HSBC, in the presence of Major Gen. Sudantha Ranasinghe, Director General, Disaster Manage Centre and Mr.Firzan Hashim,Country Director, A-PAD SL at A-PAD Office.
