Serious situation of flash floods were experienced in Puttlam district due to an unexpected heavy rain fall during last night and this morning (23rd/ 24th May). This flash flood disturbed the examination centers of St. Andrew’s Collage and Zahira College in Puttalm.
Disaster Management Centre with the Examination Department and the 143 Brigade of Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Navy facilitated to shift disturbed examination centers to safer locations to ensure the smooth conduct of the exam.
