Disaster Management Centre, under the guidance of Ministry of Disaster Management with the technical cooperation of the World Bank and Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery launched the public portal of www.riskinfo.lk housing hazard and risk information and maps of Sri Lanka on 21st December 2017 in Colombo.

Disaster Management Centre, with the technical cooperation of the World Bank and GFDRR, under the Open Data for Resilience Initiative (OpenDRI) developed National Disaster Risk Information Platform called "RiskInfo" which was launched on 21st December 2017.  The Risk Info is housed with a number of interactive maps of multiple hazard such as Floods, Tsunami, Storm Surge and other events.  The launch of the portal is complementary to the ongoing development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure by the Government of Sri Lanka and also comply with the priorities identified by Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR), the global framework for Disaster Risk Management.

“Riskinfo” is a public portal that serves to the public, private and citizens to generate value added product and services in line with building resilience to disasters.
