The second International Search and Advisory Group (INSARAG) Training of Trainers (ToT) Course was conducted from 13th to 17th September 2021 at the Centre for Disaster Response Training of Sri Lanka Army (CDRT-SLA), Gampola. The prime aim of this programme was to accredit INSARAG standards for the Search and Rescue (SAR) teams of Tri Forces, Police, Special Task Force (STF) and Fire Service Department of Sri Lanka.

Forty (40) officials were participated from above organizations. The content of this programme was connected with theoretical knowledge, practical activities & simulation exercises. This ToT programme was organized by the Disaster Management Centre with the technical support of World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with INSARAG Regional HQ and CDRT-SLA under the guidance of Major General (Rtd.) Sudantha Ranasinghe RWP, RSP, MSc, ndu, psc Director General of Disaster Management Centre.
