This was initiated with a view of instilling a cohesive and aligned approach in developing the country’s NDMP and stakeholders representing key government institutions, international non-governmental organisations (INGOs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs), humanitarian agencies etc. were invited to be a part of the review discussions held on 4th November 2022, at the Mihilaka Medura, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH).

The participants were actively involved in reviewing the content of the respective chapters of the draft document and priority was given in going through the draft Action plans and strategies, identified under the four (4) key priority areas of SFDRR. The group activity was very productive and it ensued in obtaining much needed feedback to improve the content in the draft document and also to facilitate the implementation of the proposed future Action plans in a unified manner, involving the relevant supporting organisations.
