National Workshop for the Introduction of Guidelines for the Construction of Buildings in Disaster Prone Areas Organized by Ministry of Disaster Management and Human Rights and Disaster Management Centre (DMC) Supported by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) 16th February 2010 from 0830 hrs to 1530hrs at Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI) No. 100, Independence Square Colombo 07 Guidelines were developed by a Technical Advisory Committee chaired by Prof. Priyan Dias, University of Moratuwa. The objective of the workshop is to introduce guidelines to professionals in public and private sector institutions engaged in construction industry including consultants and contractors.
